2009 Family Year Book made easy!

Memories fade - pictures don't
I want to share with you how I've been preserving my families memories this past year. At the end of every month I sit down with my family calendar and open my 12x12 family book in my unfinished projects. I title a page the name of that month, drag up a text box and journal all the things that happened. This often prompts memories of cute things my kids have done and said as well. When I'm finished writing I save & quit - without adding any photos. My thought is - the pictures will always be there, but the memories won't. I've even cut and pasted some excerpts from Joe's preschool teacher's emails updating us on how is doing.

A few months ago when I started to add my photos on my January pages, I read what I had written and was amazed at how much I had forgotten is such little time. I'd like to encourage everyone to take time to think about how you can better preserve you families memories in the new year.
